DRESS HAS NOW SOLD. This gown was made quite a few years ago and I have only worn it out once apart from photos inside house. It took about 3 1/2 months to make, the making of which, can be seen on my website using link below. The measurements are as follows and also at the end of the video, would suit UK size 10-12. My height is 1 metre 52 cm's tall and the cape just trails a little bit on the floor. The main dress on it's own is a very loose fit on me, the lowest measurments given are my own, but the largest measurments are the max it will go up to. Also the bottom hem has been turned twice to prevent fraying as we did not have an overlooker machine back then, so it could be unpicked and turned once to gain another 3cm's on the length. CAPE LENGTH FROM CENTRE BACK 1 METRE 16CMS. PARASOL WHEEL 56CM DIAMETER PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS MADE FROM GOOD QUALITY DRESS FABRICS AND NOT THE PLASTIC QUALITY YOU GET ON CHEAP FANCY DRESS ITEMS! Dress made from expensive bridal medium weight Duchesse satin in Ivory. Tie made from the same with stiffner, there is some creasing on the tie that was cuased by the stiffner, design hand painted by me. Cape made from crepe and lined, petals made from polyester chiffon, though some have faded over time. Polyester was very hard to dye, the bottom petals have been overlocked to stop fraying, though the rest had been left unhemed, to stop fraying I would spray with stiff hairspray on the ends. So this costume requires much care. The parasol is very strong made from metal bike spokes, and has been tacked onto the cape so it at the back. Ties inside cape go under arms to hold it on and there are snaps on each side. Wig is included but you may want to do a better one or have on commisioned as this is falling apart in places and very top heavy, but i'll put it in for free. Postage to a UK address is £20 with parcel force, this is the cheapest price I can find to post it as the largest item is the parasol which cannot be folded.
