In August of 2012, mainline steam returned to Pennsylvania as Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 #765 ran some Employee Appreciation Specials for Norfolk Southern in and around Harrisburg. Our coverage takes place on Saturday, August 18th, with footage of the engine pulling the employee specials over Rockville Bridge and meeting the Office Car Special on the return trip. Then, we fast forward to August 20th, where we see 765 tackle the famed Horseshoe Curve, outside of Altoona! After a service stop in Cresson, we catch 765 one more time at stride through Summerhill, as she makes her way west to Pittsburgh, and ultimately, Fort Wayne.
