Most people read this poem by Robert Frost and think of it as some kind of positive uplifting statement about how a person should take the more challenging path whenever possible; the path that other people don't take. Somehow that's supposed to make one a visionary or a hero or a more daring soul. However, Frost called this poem "The Road NOT Taken." He didn't call it "The Road That's Really Cool Because No One Else Wanted It." Frost named the poem after the path that he doesn't take. Once one realizes that, every word in the poem makes much more sense than the other more conventional interpretation. Suddenly it all becomes more clear.

This poem is deliciously sarcastic, pessimistic, and melancholy. I love crap like that.
