Amelia Bedelia Means Business is the first book in the series and finds Amelia pining for a new bicycle. Her parents tell her that the bike she's been eyeing would cost an arm and a leg. In true Amelia style, she wonders how she would ride it if she were missing an arm and a leg. So she decides to earn money to buy the bike, and as you can image, engages in a bunch of mixed-up moneymaking ventures before she is able to buy the bike of her dreams.
