(26 May 1955) This Viking of the Queen's Flight just touched down at Whan Airport, brought Princess Margaret on her visit to British troops in Germany. She was welcomed by Sir Frederick Hozer Millar, the British Ambassador. One of her engagements was at Harding Barracks, Wuppertal, where the 1st Battalion, the Suffolk Regt. were on Parade. The Princess was to present New Colours. But first the inspection, accompanied by Brigadier Backhouse, Colonel of the Regt. Now the band and drums move to the Colours in slow time. The new Colours are now consecrated by Assistant Chaplain-General. Next, Her Royal Highness presents them. Her Royal Highness then returns to take her place on the dais before the marchpast.
