Muslims pray for strength in quake-hit Palu city

(5 Oct 2018) Drone footage on Friday showed rescue and clean-up efforts continuing in Palu city, one week after a quake and tsunami hit Indonesia's central Sulawesi island. 
On the city beach, the popular floating Masjid Apung mosque, which was once sit on stilts above the water, was collapsed to one side and submerged in the water. 
Its elevated walkway connecting the mosque and the road has been completely destroyed. 
In other parts of the city, heavy machinery was cleaning up debris left after the disastrous waves. 
Meanwhile, search and rescue work continued on at the collapsed Mercure hotel, where bodies are believed to be trapped underneath the rubble. 
Hundreds of survivors of the Indonesian disaster gathered at sunset on Friday to pray and remember the more than 1,500 victims of the disaster.
As their voices rang out in prayer and song, one woman wiped away tears while another rocked gently nearby.
The location - Talise beach – was hosting a festival attended by hundreds of people when the devastating sequence of events  occurred.
