Sol Energy’s Simon McKay discusses how farmers are saving money by assessing their energy use on farm, including through independent energy audits. Since 2012, 21% of dairy farms have conducted an assessment of their energy. Forty per cent have saved up to $10,000 per year and five per cent saved up to $29,000 per year. In this video, WestVic dairy farmers Matt Grant and Kevin Wines talk about how their audits identified ways to make savings.
