This was my second trip to the climbing gym, in Mid-Manhattan, on 42nd Street. This video is a compilation of the videos taken by Sumayya, my climbing partner, and myself. It shows me climbing up, may safety insured by my climbing partner, and my trying to climb up by pulling up in the belayer's end of the rope. I was a little surprised that the people at the gym actually allowed this, but I was glad, they did. Maybe, next time, I will 'belay' myself up, pulling the rope through the belayer's clip, after each tug. That way, I will be able to hang, and rest for extended periods of time, before resuming a rope climb. Maybe I will remember to aid my arms, by using my feet to apply friction on the rope, next time, the same way that the military climbs up thick, heavy ropes. I'm still not sure about how to prevent my fingers from bleeding, when I rope climb, though. My fingers were very slightly bruised, and one of my fingertips looked cut. My fingers were very slightly sensitive to hot water, the next day. I would appreciate help, here.

I was not sure if my climbing partner would be okay with my posting up a video with her in it, so I had to edit her out; though you can hear her cracking me up, and 'threatening' to keep me hanging, and make me fall, in our language (Bangla). She seems much more privacy conscious than I am. Maybe she'll post a video response to this. I'm just trying not to get sued, here :-)
