This continues my soap designs inspired by famous artists. While working on the details of another "inspired by" soap, Edvard Munch came to mind. It just so happened that I wanted to make another soap with Dragon's Blood fragrance! I thought that Munch's obsession with depicting psychological subject matter plays perfectly with this fragrance. Well known for his iconic painting and pastel work, The Scream, Munch's work appears dark in both symbolism and color palette. The Norwegian artist stated that his inspiration for The Scream came to him as he observed a blood-red sky, which he translated into an introspective snapshot of a tormented soul. In this series, I am not concerned about making exact representations of famous works of art. Rather, I want to get a feel for the artists' styles and intention. In capturing the feel of a Munch painting, I focused on the mood created by darkness, with red and black being the dominant colors. I also focused on Munch's landscape rather than the screaming figure. To add a bit of light I added gold mica to brighten the soap. Please subscribe. Thanks for watching and commenting.
