BAM takes the Flatbush Avenue Marquee (affectionately known to insiders as "Signy") to a whole new level with the world premiere of an innovative animated video in an exclusive, strictly limited engagement. Alexis Ditkowsky, who programs Signy, reflects, "Signy's V7000 operating system last updated in 1997 turned out to be the perfect platform for a media installation of this caliber. It's an exceptional feeling to see technologies come so seamlessly together in the creation of Great Art." Andrew Nicholas, creator of this compelling installation, visibly moved by his own artistic accomplishment, chimes in, "This labor of love is without a doubt the pinnacle of my career. I feel so fulfilled as a designer and as a person." The work, embedded in Signy's regularly scheduled sequence, is available for viewing on April 1, 2009 only.
