We made it to the mysterious Kazakhstan, where the only thing we knew about it was from the Documentary, "Boart." But besides trying to deal with the misery of getting a Russian Visa, Kaz is an awesome place. With incredible cheap prices and amazing people, its a wonder why more don't visit this exotic land (besides the sub zero temperatures). We also had the opportunity to venture outside the city of Almaty, and see the insane landscapes of mountains and deserts. We drove for miles on the endless frontier and could not get enough. We saw the Charyn Canyons and the vast Altyn Emel National Park. Maybe it's not your top tourist destination, but it certainly should be on some list.
