After booking tickets to see Idlewild play two shows on their Highlands and Islands acoustic tour back in March, the time finally arrived to see the band play for the first time since the end of 2010 when they toured the re-release of 100 Broken Windows. The second of these acoustic shows was held at the Birnam Arts Centre. As the journey from Dundee to Dunkeld isn't as long as the drive to Aviemore, we decided to follow some unclassified roads through the Sidlaws, eventually stopping in Murthly for lunch. We also take a look at a few interesting features by the side of the former A9 (now the B867) close to Murthly Mills. These features include a picturesque loch, some standing stones and a culvert of unknown origin. Despite the rain coming on, we also took a look at The Hermitage and Lady Charlotte's Cave. A mix of rain and woodland surroundings has unfortunately meant that the footage looks a bit grainy in places. As with the Aviemore video, we didn't record any of the Idlewild acoustic show but plenty of other people have.
