United Nations, 3 February 2009: Daily Briefing by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General. The African Union-United Nations mission in Darfur reports this morning that aerial bombings were conducted around Muhajeria town in South Darfur, and civilians are still gathered outside the UNAMID camp seeking refuge. UNAMID officials were prevented by Sudanese National Security from undertaking an assessment visit to Muhajeria, due to the current security situation in the area.
