This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. When you look at seemingly different fields, like architecture and dance, what do you see?

Lidea sees connection and similarity. In this talk, she gives us a short theoretical understanding of these common points that unite her two loves. You can also expect to see a breathtaking tango with her partner Charbel Khalil to the brilliant sounds of Antonio Agri.

Lidea Mechleb Hajjar is currently pursing a degree in Interior Architecture, but her ultimate passion remains the Tango!

As a mother of four, Lidea sometimes finds herself taking the same class with her own sons, and that's just a glimpse into the life of this full-time caregiver, student, and tanguera.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
