Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has stated that the Export Inspection Council and Quality Council of India will monitor and check fish along Konkan and Goa region. Vishwajit Rane attended a special meeting with Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu at Delhi over the issue of formalin. Goa government has assured to allot infrastructure to set up laboratory for handling formalin issue along with milk, fruits and vegetables. The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary, FDA Director and other officers.
