In this short video Jay Nicholas demonstrates how to tie a large stimulator style dry fly meant to imitate the McKenzie Caddis. This high floating pattern utilizes Ice Dub, Elk Hair and stiff dry fly hackle. The techniques used in this pattern can be adapted to Yellow and Orange colored versions to imitate stoneflies around the west.
