A dalit woman was beaten, and paraded naked in front of a mob because people alleged she murdered a 19 year old Vimlesh Kumar. She was a prostitute in a local brothel, and Vimlesh was last seen with her prior to his death in August this year. This sparked a row amongst the local when the boy’s par ents blamed the brothel and a mob attacked the woman. She was dangerously injured, and is still recovering in hospital.
