Introducing a new series of videos I will be shooting. Slow Motion Experiments (SME). This will depict slow motion footage of different focuses and I will try to give accurate scientific descriptions about what you are seeing. These videos will not only have descriptions and definitions of the physics behind the subjects of the footage, but often I will include my own hypothesis, ideas and random thoughts. This video is SME - Bucky Balls. The magnetic attractions and repulsions these little spherical rare earth magnets perform are typically too fast for the human eye to see any real detail of. As a spectator, you typically just see the end result...but how does the magnet that WAS on the left side, suddenly end up on the right? How does a magnet work its way into an existing ring of magnets without breaking the chain? Watch this video to see for your own eyes.
