After soaking the damascus billet in kerosene, Kyle takes it and starts forge welding it with THE SMASH. He now takes the one block of steel and starts forging it into the Blade. Kyle grinds off the welding and sparks FLY! Using the Smash to thin the block of steel and then hammering it into the blade shape. The forge makes the shop quite hot and soon Kyle and Josh are hot and thirsty. Oblivious to the fact that his sons are turning his beloved shovel into a knife, Dad is in the back of the shop cleaning. Will Kyle have enough steel to make a full tange or will the knife have to be a hidden tange? The knife blade gets twisted so Kyle has to straighten the blade. The next step is normalizing the blade. Dad still isn't reconciled to the fact that his shovel is missing and goes looking for it again. That wraps up day three working at the shop. Keep an eye out for part 4!
