This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Dan MacCombie, Co-founder & Co-CEO of Runa (runa.org/@drinkruna), shares his journey bringing a little known, caffeinated, tea-like Amazonian super-leaf called guayusa from the Ecuadorian Amazon to thousands of grocery aisles - and more importantly, what he learned along the way about living your dreams. Dan MacCombie developed Runa, a company whose commitment to the indigenous farmer and their forests aligns with Dan's devotion to sustainability and cultural conservation. For his work, Dan was named a Forbes "30 under 30" in the January 2013 issue. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
