During a heated confrontation about the lack of proper documents concerning large sums of money to be paid to Putnam and Hancock, auditors to the town, Alderman Philip Mcmillian, gives a citizen his middle finger. The man quickly tells him he doesn't need to be 'using that finger in public'. A woman tells them the truth about their behavior. Then Mayor John Cowden reveals he is resigning. The Alderman in the dark shirt, brought to light misdeeds by the town hall. They were forced to stop having private meetings. Tennessee has a 'Sunshine' law requiring posted meetings. The Town of Petersburg is, as of this posting, been under State investigation for 11 months. We would like to thank Alderman Brad Dillenback for his attemps to represent the citizens of the Town.
