For all you laymen out there, Dolphy Day is a little spring tradition held annually here at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. Campus is closed off, classes (most) are cancelled, and the seniors drive in a procession through campus, usually around 4:00 AM, honking and generally making a huge fucking racket in an attempt to wake up the underclassmen. What is essentially the entire undergraduate class then gathers in the quad, spending the rest of the day relaxing on the grass, tossing a frisbee around, listening to the many live bands in attendance, and - of course - drinking. Official rules follow that if the booze isn't visible (opaque container, etcetera), you're good. Thought you'd all like a glimpse of what WE do for fun in the spring semeser. In this clip, the undergraduate class cheer on Nick Urda, crowned as the wizard for this year's Dolphy Day just minutes before. It's hard to really appreciate here how many people are packed into the quad...quite a few.
