THE RUNDOWN | Over 150 nations adopted the global migration pact at the United Nations, excluding the United States as well as Italy, Poland and Hungary, among others. The populist governments have taken a firm stance against mass immigration, opting instead of closed borders and very limited entry to foreigners. In a time of crisis in Africa and other parts of the world, migration is on the rise. So, how does the UN resolution come into play against the backdrop of rising populism in certain Western countries?
