After Russia annexed Crimea and started a hybrid war in the Donbas, back in 2014, the international community reacted with messages of support for Ukraine and economic sanctions against the aggressor. But this did not persuade the Kremlin to review its aggressive policy towards Ukraine. On November 25th Russia committed an act of not a hybrid, but open aggression by attacking and seizing three Ukrainian vessels near the Kerch Strait. The West was once again unanimous in its condemnation of Russia's aggressive actions and demands freedom of navigation be restored. But will it increase pressure on Ukraine's aggressor state?
