Ok So the new rules for VGC 2019 have now been released. Be sure to check out the official rule set @ https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/get-ready-for-a-legendary-video-game-championships-season/

So with the 3 seasons (Sun, Moon, and Ultra), be sure to train your teams to follow along the rulesets given during each individual time frame.
In our vgc battles, during the first season, you can continue to use pokemon from earlier generations as we will battle with the doubles format (but don't forget the actual rules in that format)
At the start of season 2, ALL VGC-related battles on the channel will be under the championship format in which your team must have been born and raised in gen 7. So make sure you are all training up your teams from now.
This will be the final year of competitive pokemon on the 3ds so lets hit it with all of our power. I look forward to your challenges.
