Flanders Accuses German Govt of State-Aid to Opel

The government of the Belgian region Flanders is fighting to keep Opel/General Motors from closing down its Antwerp car plant. Flemish Prime Minister Kris Peeters has been to meet EU Enterprise Commissioner Gunter Verheugen in Brussels to make sure that the Opel management won't be allowed to keep Opel's german plants open with state aid provided by the German government, which faces elections in two weeks time.
