Boris Issaev is a co-founder of Parkbus initiative, the bus network connecting Toronto and Ottawa with national and provincial parks in Ontario. This project was launched in 2010, bringing together private and public stakeholders and rapidly growing to its current phase with 6 participating parks including Algonquin, Killarney, French River, Grundy Lake, Bruce Peninsula and Lion's Head. Boris is an avid outdoorsman and traveller, having visited over 30 countries and dozens of parks from Denali to Himalayas. He is currently completing International Masters of Business Administration at the Schulich School of Business and also holds a degree in Computer Science. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
