Luis Fernando Samper is the Communications and Marketing Director for the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros in Colombia. He is responsible for the development and implementation of trademark strategies associated with the Colombian coffee. He has been the President of the World Organization of Geografic Indications OriGin, and coauthor of the book: Juan Valdez, La Estrategia Detras de La Marca. In his talk, Luis Fernando Samper explains the development model for the coffee grower in Colombia, and the need of an orchestrate effort which brings all the necessary elements together at the precise time needed. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
