After testing every melee weapon and messing with sword sword with trueflight for most the week I have returned to sword dagger + hagbane. It is definitely weaker for open areas and maps with ledges that specials like to hide up on, but nothing beats this combo for hectic close range survival--and that is smugglers. I obviously flubbed the run to the first event (while destroying the ogre), but everything was going so well from there...till the ladder of doom. I should have backed off, cleared, grabbed the health from the ammo room and slow rolled it (but damn I was excited...). Better luck next time, then on to White Rat.
