A test video of my interpretation of an art thing that happened in Hull in 1989 called The Source. I was given the audio of a video record of the performance and was asked to interpret it any way I saw fit. I edited the sound file to draw out its sinister aspects and set it to this video I made. The video is of a baking tray with a couple of railway figures glued to it and a corn starch/water mixture. This is being held over a speaker which is emitting a sine wave at 60hz. This frequency causes the non-newtonian liquid to take on bizarre twisted forms. The finished piece will have one hundred figures glued to the tray. And possibly a monolith.
