Minecraft - Mob/Piston Bug

Here's an odd bug witht he interaction between mobs and pistons (1.2.5). The pistons remain retracted, as if the pressure plates are still active when they're not. Murdering the mob/interacting with the pressure plates will deactivate them all, which could be useful for a mob death sensor.
