Margot Robbie is being lined up to star in the World War II thriller 'Ruin'.

The 28-year-old actress will lead the cast alongside Matthias Schoenaerts after 'Assassin's Creed' director Justin Kurzel spent the best part of last year trying to figure out his ideal cast. 

It's believed Kurzel was initially looking at Gal Gadot playing the lead following her successful portrayal of Wonder Woman last year, but her busy schedule meant she was pulled out of the running and Robbie was pushed to the front.

It's not yet known who else is part of the line-up, but it's believed the cameras will start rolling next Spring in Prague after Kurzel locked in his two leading stars.

Meanwhile, Robbie is currently working on Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' and will next be seen in 'Mary Queen Of Scots' in January.
