First meeting to begin for ROK-US working group on DPRK

The Republic of Korea (ROK) and the United States have agreed on the first meeting of their working group on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The three-day meeting will begin today. Lee Do-hoon, special envoy for the Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, will be representing the ROK. The other representative is US envoy for the DPRK Stephen Biegun. The two sides will prepare for high-level talks regarding DPRK issues. ROK authorities say the country's officials in charge of peninsula exchange affairs will also attend. The construction of a cross-border railway on the peninsula is also on the agenda.
