This is my assassin's story line! I used to hate sins but I made this one with a story already in my head, and she is an assassin/ranger, in which case I love playing her. Critical Strikes + Way of the Master + Keen Arrow = Fun! :D She can also perma sin, yay! Anyway, here is the story: Nariko Dawnfire is the daughter of a corsair captain. She grew up where pillaging and hunting for treasure was just the way of life. But then her father decided that he should turn his life around. They head for Cantha but a village fires at the ship before he can explain himself. The ship begins to sink and Nariko's father is badly wounded. She holds him in her arms and in his last breath he begs her to find a new way of life. She gives him her word before she's thrown into the water. She drifts to Shing Jea Island, where she begins her new life. Nariko wants to keep her promise to her father but she still has a corsair heart - she still desires treasure and wealth. So she becomes a bounty hunter, catching criminals and slaying monsters for rewards. She still also looks for treasure but she doesn't pillage villages to do so. The elite Luxon armor is her "bounty" gear; I actually use it for when she perma sins. The Monument armor is her regular armor. The boat scenes represent her life as a corsair, always living on a boat. She is also seen mourning her father's death. Sometimes she still yearns for the sea but she loves being a bounty hunter.
