02 Media Briefing on Budget Office: Mr Max Sisiulu, Speaker of National Assembly

The briefing was held by Parliament's Presiding Officers. National Assembly Speaker Mr Max Sisulu and National Council of Provinces Chairperson Mr Mninwa Mahlangu made presentations, as did Professor Mohammed Jahed, who has been seconded by the Development Bank of Southern Africa to assist Parliament with establishing the Parliamentary Budget Office. Members of the task team, overseeing the establishment of the Office also assisted in answering questions from the media. The Spokesperson for Parliament Mr Luzuko Jacobs moderated the media briefing. Besides members of the media, the briefing was attended by Members of Parliament, members of government institutions, Chapter Nine Institutions, members of civil society institutions and organisations, including academic and research institutions.
