Arthur Sze discusses Tyuonyi: Multicultural Perspectives on Poetry. Tyounyi, a Keresan word, is the name of a meeting place situated in Bandelier, New Mexico. Sze has 22 years of experience working with Native Americans at the Institute of American Indian Arts. He translates classical Chinese poetry, and has as a deep interest in Japanese culture. He will show how these strands run through the evolution of his own poetry and how they are an essential part of our world today.
