On Melbourne Cup Day it is an annual event that many Melbourne Amateurs operate portable on 160m for the 11:00am coffee break net that runs every week day plus Saturday Morning. For this event VK3NM, VK3DQ, VK3TOQ and myself operated from an oval near my home. It is a bit embarrassing what eventuated on the day but it may give someone a laugh to see one VK3WWW doing what he does best "stuffing up" My real tuner was not available for the day so we needed a substitute and the video is a record of what can go wrong. Looking forward to Melbourne Cup Day 2010.
