The reinterpretation is named after Charlie Bucket, the good-hearted, young protagonist of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, representing the belief that a little touch of chocolate can work wonders in anything. Ingredients-wise, the choice of adding orange peel and cacao to the drink stems from the desire to reinforce the citrus flavour of Campari, while, in Vesper fashion, also making the classic Negroni a smoother and friendlier cocktail for inexperienced drinkers. To that respect, the top layer of light chocolate milk foam adds another dimension of texture and an almost ‘cappuccino’ appeal to the drink.
