One of the best vegan restaurants in Los Angeles is Vinh Loi Tofu, a vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Reseda. My friend Kevin is the owner and he makes his own tofu at the restaurant. He also makes the best vegan meat I ever had. I decided to put this place to the ultimate test and invite my friend Austin to try out the food. Austin knows Vietnamese food as he grew up on it as a kid. It’s time for him to try the best vegan Vietnamese Food at Vinh Loi Tofu!

The first thing Kevin served us are the vegan chicken nuggets with three types of sauce, including a deadly spicy sauce. Kevin warned Austin about this sauce and it was a good thing he did. He only put a little of the hot sauce on the nuggets and it is definitely hot!

Next up was the soup. As Austin says, it’s all about the broth. After a couple of bites in, he was a fan of this soup. This soup is traditionally made with meat, but Kevin makes his version of this vegan vietnamese soup that is delicious.

The vietnamese vegan fried rice was the next thing he tried. It’s amazing how everything tastes exactly they way it should. A few bites in and was wondering if even he could fool his dad into thinking this vegan meat was actually real meat. The flavor and texture is so close to the real thing. He also tried the noodles and the tofu in this dish really stood out. It was delicious and seasoned really well.

Finally, we wrapped up the meal with some soy pudding for dessert. Austin’s grandmother used to make this for him as a kid. Not surprisingly, the dessert tasted exactly as he remembered. Overall, he had a great experience and everything he ate was perfect. He couldn’t even tell it was vegan! He agreed that the vegan Vietnamese Food at Vinh Loi Tofu is amazing!
