Ubiquitous information and communication has dramatically changed how we work. Yet we still like to work together, in teams, in shared spaces. We have an opportunity to rethink the workplace by making the environment smart -- from an inert space to an active participant in how we work with others. In an AI-driven economy, ordinary and forgotten moments of human interaction can be reeled in and made a useful part of the digital workplace. We call these "Dark Interactions," and with new computing interfaces like conversational AIs and interactive light, we can harness them for our benefit.
