Set in the 1960's the film includes shots of young people (20's ), illustrating clothes and hairstyles for both men and women. It is noticeable that dress is fairly formal for all involved, with men wearing ties etc. It also shows the work carried out by technicians and scientists to study the brewing process and improve it. The experimental work is almost entirely non-automated, with records being taken on notebooks and forms, with only 1 example being shown where measurements are being taken automatically. The results, in this case, are recorded on a chart recorder, with manual intervention to annotate the record. There are many shots of laboratory environment; small and large scale brewery.
