👉 Learn how to simplify expressions using the product rule and the negative exponent rule of exponents. The product rule of exponents states that the product of powers with a common base is equivalent to a power with the common base and an exponent which is the sum of the exponents of the original product.

The negative power rule of exponents states that a power with negative exponents is equivalent to the reciprocal of the power with the positive exponent.
