Comparing Soil and Aquaponics with Chard, Leeks & a Sunflower?

Have you ever asked yourself if Aquaponics really works? If it's work the so called 'effort' of setting it up and keeping it running? Perhaps this little video will help you decide. My AP system has been and ever shall be a place of experiments and learning. It started as a kiddie pool from the neighbours with some bins draining back into it that were watered by hand ... I should see about making a slide show of all that ... so my point is, no matter what you have around you can probably at least START and AP system. 'cuz if you haven't yet, you're missing out on a real gardening treat! As always my little hoophouse/greenhouse garden is about seeing what I can grow in these assorted situations. In this video we look at 3 different plants growing in both soil and aquaponics. I would say that in two out of the three the AP system was a clear winner! That being said, I would say that Swiss Chard, Leeks and Sunflowers can all grow very nicely in even a modest Aquaponic set-up. Learn to live better, and live to keep learning!
