July 19, 2010 - Monday, first official day of the Region 9 Logan, Utah week-long soaring contest as seen from the cockpit of Bruno Vassel IV's ASW-20B glider "B4".  Shows footage of gliding over the "Wellsville" mountains west of Logan in consistent but light lift.

I thought I was going to do really well for the day by leaving the ridges to the east and heading over to the Wellsville Range because I thought the lift would be much stronger.  The detour added quite a few extra miles that didn't count towards the task and in the end didn't add enough speed to make up for the deviation and I came in 6th for the day.  At least it was fun and very beautiful!
