Zuni Learning Tree is a one-stop shop for teachers, students, and parents accessed through an easy-to-use online platform that provides educational resources while saving time. During week 4, we assisted Tina and Zuni Learning Tree to develop her pitch deck for her meeting with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) to try and secure funding to help Zuni scale her business. The AEDC emphasizes job creation and local economic impact, so our team focused on outlining ZUNI’s job growth strategy, tidying the financials underlying the pro forma, and generating a sales funnel model substantiating our revenue projections, all of which would be included in the pitch. In addition, we got to spend quality time with Tina and her family including watching Tina beat us all in basketball. It was a great week in a beautiful part of the country and we are grateful for the experience. Ross Open Road supports social entrepreneurs across the country by giving MBA students the opportunity to apply what they have learned! This year, one Open Road team documented their journey through a series of vlogs.
