#IndianArmy has a glorious history of Hang-Gliding activities. #ArmyAdventureWing is the only agency specializing in the sport of Hang Gliding (HG) and Foot Launched Powered Harness Hang Gliding in the country. In Feb 2012, a team from this Node created a World Record for longest distance covered in a single flight of Powered Harness Hang Glider by flying non-stop for 313.3 Kms. The existing record as created by this Node is recognised by Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI). Army Adventure Wing is now undertaking an expedition to challenge the existing world record in the financial year 2018-19. The attempt will be made to break the existing record by covering more than 400Kms in one single flight by employing four Foot Launched Powered Harness Hang Gliding. Watch the video to know more.
