Taxiwaala is a 2018 science-fiction and horror comedy thriller film written and directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda, Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair in the lead roles. Ravi Prakash, Ravi Varma, and Uttej appear in supporting roles. Music is composed by Jakes Bejoy. The film is jointly bankrolled by UV Creations and Geetha Arts. The movie's teaser was released on April 18, 2018, and the movie was released on November 17, 2018, to Positive Reception and achieved breakeven on day1. Overseas release by Freeze Frame Films. This film has taken scenes and basic plot from 1983 Hollywood thriller flick 'Christine'. The supernatural element of the astral body is spiritual but not new and it is not science but more of a fiction in how the film shows it.
