Before the battle, make sure to cast Float on all of your party members if you want to avoid getting damaged by T-Rex's Earthquake, but his physical and magic attacks are still very deadly. He will counter elemental spells with either Flame, Lightning or Ice Storm.

For some reason, using Flare will NOT result in a counter-attack, so if Palom has it, feel free to use it. Porom is all about healing in this fight. Cid and Cecil should attack normally, and Yang should use his Power ability.

Now, it may seem that he looks like it, but T-Rex is certainly NOT Undead. Therefore, you should avoid trying to deal damage with any Cure spell. You should be using your White Mage for healing your party members here.

If you've done the bosses in the same order as I did (Master Flan, Death Mech and Storm Dragon) you should have gotten the weapons for the specific characters, which should allow you to deal more damage than before.
