I hate masking! So the video itself mostly follows the lyrics, but there are some key things that I want to mention. Kairi is rather suicidal in this video, for reasons more or less unknown. I like to think about it that it is because she doesn't feel like her relationship with Sora isn't going to lead to anything of value. The white all around and behind the two of them is supposed to represent death and heaven, and most of the video is whited out because of this. Kairi obviously plunges into death, and Sora is always on the edge of it because of his girlfriend. After Kairi's attempt, Sora, grief-stricken and determined, decides to sacrifice himself to save Kairi's life. While he is successful, he unfortunately dies. Kairi realizes how much Sora really cared about her, but now she is stuck without him. At the end of the video, where it is black and white (bluish and white, maybe) she has lost her purpose for living yet again, but instead of dramatically dropping herself off of a cliff to prove a point, she instead calmly accepts and walks into death to try and reunite with Sora.
