Here is Heat 1 (of 2) of the Boys 3200 Meter Run from the 2018 CIF (Southern Section) Division 3 Track and Field Prelims meet held on May 12, 2018 at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa, California.

Commentary:  Three in it with 500 to go but Byrne pulls away.  PRs the following week at Finals, placing second.  Leyva also PRs at Finals the following week and takes the D3 championship.  In addition, he makes Masters and State.
